Price lists, support items and MMM loadings

Look up NDIS price limits for any support item on any date, see the remote and very remote (MMM) limits, and set your own rates for private, DVA, Support at Home and insurer clients.

Before you begin

  • A role that can view pricing (pricing.catalogue.view). To manage rate cards: pricing.rate_cards.create and pricing.rate_cards.update.
  • CompanionAxis loads each official NDIS Pricing Schedule version for you; you don’t upload it.

Find a support item’s price limit

  1. Go to Billing → Pricing Schedule and open the Support items tab.
  2. Search by support item code or name, or filter by Category and Time band.
  3. Set As at to the date of service. Use the From buttons to jump to a scheduled future version.
  4. Read the Price limit column. Quote required and No price limit badges show in Rules.

See remote and very remote (MMM) limits

  1. On the Support items tab, switch the zone from MMM 1–5 to Remote or Very remote.
  2. Compare the Price limit column with the national limit.
  3. Check a participant’s classification on their record: the Overview tab shows Remoteness (MMM).
  4. Open the Rules tab to see the Provider travel (labour) cap by MMM, short-notice cancellation rules and how a shift crossing a time band is priced.

Invoice lines carry the zone used, so you can see why a remote limit was applied.

Prepare for a new price schedule

  1. Check the Next change tile at the top.
  2. Open What changes and choose the Version to compare. Filter by Change to see increases, decreases, new and removed items.
  3. For a future version, read the impact figures (for example quotes and agreements to review).
  4. Open Versions to see every version with its Effective from date and status.

New versions apply by date of service: shifts delivered before a change keep the old limits even if invoiced later. A catalogue you upload with Preview a catalogue is for quotes and what-if only, never for invoices or claims.

Price private and other payers with a rate card

  1. Open the Rate cards tab and select New rate card.
  2. Enter a Name, choose the Payer kind (Private, DVA, Support at Home, Insurer or Other), the GST treatment and Notes.
  3. Add items with Code, Name, Unit, Rate and, if useful, the Linked NDIS support item and GST code. Save. The card is created as a draft.
  4. Select Activate. It applies from tomorrow.
  5. Select Assign and choose Participants or A payer, the From date and an optional Until date.
  6. To change rates later, select New version on the active card, edit the draft copy, then activate it.

Tips

If something goes wrong

An invoice line says “No rate card”

A private, DVA, Support at Home or insurer line has no active card for that payer kind. Assign a card to the participant or payer, from a date that covers the service.

You can’t edit rates on a card

Only draft cards can be edited. Select New version on the active card and edit the copy.

Prices from a previewed catalogue don’t appear on invoices

That is expected: invoices and claims always use the official NDIS version CompanionAxis publishes.

The Rate cards tab is missing

Your role lacks pricing.rate_cards.view.
