NDIS claims

Get paid by the NDIA without line-by-line rework

Validated bulk payment request files, remittance import and rejected-line rework in one place.

You submit claims that are checked before they leave. CompanionAxis builds the bulk payment request file for NDIA-managed participants from your invoice lines, validates each line against the participant’s plan, and imports the claim results so every line is reconciled or sent back for rework.

What changes for you

Fewer rejected claim lines

Plan dates, budget, support item and price limit are checked before the file is created, so the common causes of rejection are fixed in advance.

Know what has been paid

Claim results are imported and matched to each line, so you can see paid, rejected and outstanding amounts by participant.

Rejections fixed, not forgotten

Rejected lines go to a rework queue with the reason attached, and are corrected and claimed again in the next batch.

From invoice line to reconciled payment

  1. Step 1Lines ready to claim

  4. Step 4Results imported

Claim results and remittance are imported and each line is marked paid or rejected.

Catch the rejection before the NDIA does

Every line in a batch is checked before the file is created: is the support inside a current plan, is there budget left in that support category, is the support item valid for the date of service, and is the price within the limit? Lines that fail are held back with the reason, so the file you upload is the one you expect to be paid.

  • Plan start and end dates
  • Remaining budget by support category
  • Support item valid on the date of service
  • Price within the current price limit

Questions buyers ask

Do we still upload claims through the my NDIS provider portal?

Yes, at launch. CompanionAxis creates the bulk payment request file and you upload it through the my NDIS provider portal using your PRODA login, then import the results back. Direct API claiming through the NDIA Digital Partnership Programme is coming soon.

What does validation check?

That the date of service falls within the participant’s current plan, that the support category has enough budget left, that the support item is valid in the Support Catalogue on that date, and that the price is within the price limit for that date and your registration status.

What happens to rejected lines?

They move to a rework queue with the reason from the claim results. Once corrected, they are included in the next batch, and the history of each attempt is kept.

Does this handle plan-managed and self-managed participants?

Those participants are invoiced rather than claimed: plan-managed invoices go to the plan manager and self-managed invoices go to the participant or nominee. The bulk claim covers NDIA-managed funding only.
