Accessibility statement
Last updated November 2026
CompanionAxis is used by support workers on the move, coordinators at a desk, and participants and families at home. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA across the web app, the family portal and the mobile apps.
What we do
- Automated accessibility checks (axe-core, WCAG 2.2 A and AA rules) run on the main screens with every change to the web app.
- Every screen can be used with a keyboard, has visible focus, and labels for screen readers.
- Text and controls meet the WCAG contrast ratios in the light and dark themes.
- Pages keep working at 200% zoom and on small phone screens.
- The apps respect the device’s text size, reduce motion and screen reader settings.
Known limits
- Some charts in reports show information by colour. Each chart has a table view with the same numbers.
- Documents you upload (PDFs, scanned forms) are shown as they are. We can’t make another organisation’s documents accessible.
- An independent WCAG 2.2 AA audit is planned before general availability. We’ll publish the result here.
