Ask for leave from your phone, see your balances and the status of each request, and cancel leave you no longer need.
Before you begin
- You are signed in to the support worker app.
- Your organisation has set up leave types. Coordinators need Approve leave to decide requests.
Request leave
- Tap More, then Leave and availability. The Leave tab opens.
- Check your balances at the top, if your organisation shows them.
- Tap Request leave.
- Under Type, tap the kind of leave.
- Tap Choose dates and pick the first and last day.
- Add a Reason (optional) and tap Send request. The message reads Leave requested · your coordinator will review it.
Check the status
- Under Your requests, each request shows its type, dates, hours, how many shifts it affects and its status.
- You get a notification when it is approved or declined. A declined request shows your coordinator’s reason.
Cancel a request
- Tap a pending request, or approved leave that hasn’t started.
- In Cancel this leave?, tap Cancel leave (or Keep to leave it).
Approve or decline (coordinators)
- Go to Roster → Leave requests and select the request.
- Review the affected shifts and choose Suggested cover for each.
- Select Approve and assign cover (or Approve). Rostering is blocked for those dates.
- To decline, select Decline, enter Reason (shown to the worker) and confirm.
Tips
- Request leave as early as you can so your coordinator can line up cover for your shifts.
- For a single day you can’t work, use Add unavailable time on the Availability tab instead.
If something goes wrong
“You already have leave on those days.”
There is already pending or approved leave overlapping those dates. Cancel or change the existing request first.
The request is refused and asks you to attach evidence
Some leave types need a certificate. The app can’t attach one yet; ask your coordinator to record the leave with the evidence.
You can’t cancel leave
Leave that has already started can’t be cancelled. Ask your coordinator or payroll to change it.
