Recording SDA dwellings and residents

Record a Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) dwelling as a house and see its SDA details, residents and rent on the house and vacancy screens.

Before you begin

• You need Add sites to create the house and View houses to see it.
• Have the dwelling’s address and SDA provider details to hand.

Add the SDA dwelling

1. Go to Settings → Organisation and sites and open the Structure tab.
2. Select + House. The Add house drawer opens.
3. Enter the Name and Branch, and set Accommodation type to SDA. If you also deliver SIL in the dwelling, set the type to SIL instead: SIL houses carry the Roster of Care.
4. Complete the address, Phone, Staffing model, Sleepover room and Opened on fields.
5. Select Save house.

Check the SDA details on the house page

1. Go to Homes → Houses. The Type column shows SDA · <category> under the type when a design category is recorded.
2. Open the house. The header shows the SDA category, and Key people shows the SDA provider and phone when recorded.
3. On Rooms and residents, the Funding column shows each resident’s funding and SDA tenancy to with the tenancy end date.

Track SDA vacancies and rent

1. Go to Homes → Vacancies.
2. On an SDA room’s card, Rent and funding shows the weekly SDA rent plus reasonable rent contribution.
3. The Weekly SDA rent at risk stat totals the rent of empty SDA rooms.

Keep tenancy documents on the resident’s record

1. Open the resident’s participant record and select the Documents tab.
2. Select Upload, choose the SDA agreement file, set Type and a Review or Expiry date.
3. Select Upload. You are reminded before the document expires or is due for review.

Use the Type filter on the documents table to find the agreement later.

Tips

• Use the Type filter on Homes → Houses to list only SDA dwellings.

If something goes wrong

The SDA category or provider isn’t shown

These are recorded on the house profile, which has no web form today. Ask your CompanionAxis administrator or support to record them.

There is no Roster of care button on an SDA house

Rosters of Care and SIL quotes are for SIL houses only. Change the type to SIL if you provide SIL there.
